Why Teaching The "How" Is Where I Offer Value To My Clients
"I love how you break everything down in baby steps for us."
A client said this to me on a call last week.
At first, while I was of course happy to hear that this was helpful to her, I didn’t think too much about it. I’ve always taught this way.
But then, I realized this might actually be why my clients are getting results so quickly.
How often have you been working through a training course, group coaching program or mastermind, only to be told in broad terms what you should be doing?
How often have you gotten off the call, and realized they never told you “the how.”
“The how” is where you find yourself drowning in confusion and overwhelm.
Teaching “the how” is where I offer value to my clients.
**This is where strictly coaching, in the traditional definition, can fall short.**
If you have ever invested in a coaching program and been left feeling frustrated about your own results - this is probably why.
It’s not you, it’s them.
Teaching this way takes a lot more time. It means describing, literally click by click, how to complete the tasks needed to get you to the next step.
Sometimes I send written documents, a lot of times I send Loom videos showing every single step on my screen so that you can play it and follow along as you work through the task.
You will never be left guessing what to do next.
